While there are some changes to the areas under MBORC, overall the picture is pretty much the same; weather is causing higher than usual number of faults, mobility is affected, there is a backlog to clear and more bad weather is expected.

As it currently stands, the following areas are still under MBORC for ALL jobs:

Highlands and Islands
North East Scotland

Tayside & Fife

South East Scotland

Reading

Maidenhead

Northampton

Aylesbury

Luton

Colchester

Shrewsbury/Hereford

Worcester

Exeter

Taunton

Northern Ireland

Stoke

North Wales

Mid Wales

Cardiff

Newport

West Wales

These areas are all heavily affected.

The following areas have, as of yesterday afternoon, had MBORC lifted:

Bristol

Swindon

Gloucester

Bournemouth

Muswell Hill

Romford

Lea Valley

Southbank

Docklands

Croydon

Esher

The following areas are under MBORC for faults only:

South West Scotland

West Scotland

Newcastle and Northumberland

Tyneside, Durham and Wearside

Tees Valley

Lincoln

Docklands

Croydon

In all other areas the are still some delays being experienced. While these areas are not under MBORC as a whole, some individual jobs are being put under MBORC.

Further snow and a continuation of freezing conditions is forecast for many areas of the country over the weekend.

As more bad weather hits many parts of the country, Openreach have declared MBORC in the following areas for both faults and provisioning:

Northern Ireland

Highlands and Islands

North East Scotland

North Wales

Mid Wales

Cardiff

Newport

West Wales

Tayside & Fife

South East Scotland

Reading

Maidenhead

Aylesbury

Luton

Colchester

Muswell Hill

Watford

Lea Valley

Romford

Docklands

Southbank

Esher

Croydon

Crayford

Bristol

Gloucester

Shrewsbury/Hereford

In addition to the above areas, the following areas are still under MBORC, in the main due to the large backlog caused by the previous bout of bad weather:

MBORC has now been lifted in the following areas for PROVISIONING jobs:

North East Scotland

Tayside and Fife

South East Scotland

South West Scotland

South Yorkshire/Chesterfield

Lincoln

However, faults are still under MBORC due to the higher volumes being experienced.

In some areas we are still looking at lead times of up to 24 days for provisioning jobs so we advise any customers to give as much notice as possible for any jobs such as site moves or new provisions.

The situation has improved enough that MBORC has been lifted from the following areas:

Highlands & Islands

Leeds

Derby

Nottingham

The following areas are still under MBORC:

North East Scotland

Tayside and Fife

South East Scotland

Tyneside, Durham and Wearside

Lincoln

With freezing conditions and fresh snowfalls predicted for many areas towards the end of the week, the situation could well change again.

MBORC has now been lifted in the following areas:

Croydon

Southend

Tunbridge Wells

Northern Ireland

Other areas are still affected at the current time, while the weather has improved a lot for many areas there are still some mobility issues in more rural areas.
